The Holmes pitch in the village survived the heavy rain, allowing the Cloney to bag only their second Division Three victory of the season and lift themselves up to eighth place in the table.

Chris Shields opened the scoring, with Steven Leckey doubling the lead before half-time. Leckey got his second and the Cloney’s third of the game before Ben Nelson scored with a well placed finish.

Ben Nelson got off the mark with a goal and two assists in his first game for the club’s first team, with Steven Leckey scoring twice again, having got two for the Reserves in last weekend’s game.
