Town had to come from behind after just 10 minutes when the home side took the lead with a dipping shot that sailed over Aaron Devlin’s head into the net.

With a new look defence that had Feargal Vaughan making his first start of the season at centre back, Town coped well with more pressure and as the half wore on, they began to take a foothold in the game.

They got their rewards on 20 minutes when Shea Winters played an inch perfect pass into the path of Cameron Sands and the big striker made no mistakem drilling a shot that sneaked in at the keeper’s near post.

With Town having all the play, it was only a matter of time before they’d go ahead and a goal came just before the break when Owen Vennard made a lung-bursting run from his defensive position and found Ben Johnston with a lovely ball. Johnston duly slotted in for a 2-1 lead at the break.

Shea Winters had a couple of decent efforts but was unable to find a way past the keeper.

Aaron Devlin made sure Town stayed in front when he saved brilliantly, tipping the ball onto the bar after a super effort from the Rangers striker.

As the game neared its conclusion, Banbridge put the game to bed when a Johnston corner was nodded in by ace marksman William Doogan.

This was a great victory for Town, who have settled well into the Mid-Ulster League.
