Banbridge can win a European title this afternoon.

They take on Cardiff and Met in the Eurohockey Club Champions Trophy final in Glasgow at 3.15pm.

Bann secured their place in the final with a storming 4-0 win over hosts Kelburne on Sunday, the goals coming from Stevie Dowds, Eugene Magee, Jamie Wright and Bruce McCandless.

That secured top spot in Pool A and took Dowds’ total for the campaign to four in three games.

Bann began their campaign on Friday with a 2-2 draw with Rotweiss Wettingen, Dowds and McCandless with the goals.

There was another two for Dowds on Saturday when Bann smashed HC Minsk 4-1 to rocket to the top of the group, Mills and Wright with a goal each.

A win in this afternoon’s final would mean two Irish teams will play in next year’s EHL.
