With home advantage, team captain Dougie Stevenson was expecting his team to set the top score and move up a few places on the league ladder.

Banbridge played very well but they were not tops. That honour went to Lurgan with 155 points.

Tandragee were second best with 154 points. Then came Banbridge with a four-card total of 150 points.

Jack Bickerstaff, Merton McDowell and John Poots all had 38 points.

Sam Wilkinson had the fourth beast card, 36 points. He only finished ahead of Noel McSherry and P.J. Johnstone on countback.

The other two Banbridge players were Dennis Lockhart and Aidan Doran.

That score lifted Banbridge up 3 places in the league table to 6th.

Round 5 will be played at Ardglass next Monday the 4th of July. Let’s hope that Banbridge can continue their upward climb.
