Dromore Juniors lose out to Valley

Dromore Juniors ended their season on Saturday last at home to Lagan Valley losing by twenty two shots but gaining two points.

The Valley needed points to stay in division 5 and were in a good position at the halfway stage nineteen shots ahead.

K Aiken was the only rink ahead by eight S Malcomson down four T Sudlow ten down A Sudlow thirteen in arrears

At three quarter stage the locals had made little prigress down by seventeen Aiken still ahead by eight Malcomson a single down T Sudlow seven down A Sudlow trailing by seventeen.

In the final part of the match the Valley made sure of victory to keep them in Division 5.

Aiken had a scare finishing just one ahead Malcomson with a good finish seven ahead T Sudlow down eleven A Sudlow nineteen behind.

In the final League game the Seniors were at Whitehead losing their game but with Division 2 in the bag they are back next season in Senior Division 1

Next Saturday is Presidents day at 1.30pm.

The weekly fun bowls at Dromore Bowling Club will restart on Monday 14 September at 7pm.
