Liz, Sheelagh and Marie win late summer prizes

As the summer season draws to a close, there were three more big winners in the Banbridge Golf Club’s ladies’ section.

TUESDAY 8 SEPTEMBER

The competition on Tuesday 8 September was won by Liz Ramsey with 37 points.

The runner up was Carol Quinn with 34 points.

Golfer of the Year points were awarded as follows, Liz Ramsey 6, Carol Quinn 5, Lee Broderick 4, Ann Crommie 3, Yvonne Galloway 2 and Sheelagh English 1.

TUESDAY 15 SEPTEMBER

Due to the approach of winter and the failing light, the Turkey and Ham competition on Tuesday 15th September was played over the first 14 holes of the course.

The overall winner was Sheelagh English with 31 points.

The Sections Winners were as follows:

Section A Mary Longmore with 29 points

Section B Anne Connolly with 28 points

Section C with 28 points Mildred Doran.

The twos pot was shared between Mildred Hodgett and Annmarie Canavan, who both did well to card birdies at a par three.

FRIDAY 18 SEPTEMBER

The Miss Mary Parke Trophy was played for on Friday 18th September at Banbridge Golf Club.

The winner with a fantastic score of 33 points was Marie Mills.

Marie is in good form as she also won the Past Captain’s Prize at Lough Erne.

Helen Cocks had a hole in one in this competition.

Mary Longmore won Section A and Sharon Allen won Section B.
