It is business as usual for Supervalu on Newry Road and Centra on Lurgan Road despite entering administration.
The stores will remain open, while owner Frank McPolin neogoiates with administrators and Musgrave to find a solution.
The Post Office in both stores is back up and running after being closed for a day to allow their ownership to be changed to the administrators.
Frank McPolin said: “The administrators are usually full of bad news but they have been positive. They have said they see a viable business here so we are still running. They are busy sites and we are hopeful of a positive resolution. The hope is that both stores continue to trade.
“We want to secure the employment of all our staff and customers won’t see any change in the way we operate during this time.”
He added: “We will fight through this and come out the other end to continue serving the local community.
“This is a family business. I’ve been on this site for 15 years now so its a very personal thing for me and my staff to stay here.”
