Car found on fire at Circular Road

Police in Banbridge are appealing for information after a car was found on fire on Circular Road, Katesbridge.

Constable Jon McDonald said: “Around 12.38am on Saturday, May 23, a silver Ford Fiesta was found ablaze on Circular Road, Katesbridge after it collided with a hedge.

“The car was abandoned and was reported as stolen from outside licensed premises on Aughnacloy Road, Banbridge between 6pm on Friday, 22 May and 12.30am on Saturday, 23 May.

“We would like to hear from anyone who observed the car being driven from the licensed premises or who witnessed the collision.”

Meanwhile police would also like to hear from anyone with information on two cars damaged in seperate incidents - the first at Seapatrick Avenue, Seapatrick between midnight and 2am on June 4 and the other damaged whilst parked on the Dunbarton Street area of Gilford sometime between June 4 and 7.
