Accused of assault on a police officer

The case against a Dromore man was adjourned last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court to allow him to get legal advice.

John Reid (42), Meeting Street, Dromore, had two charges put to him when he appeared in the dock.

It is alleged that on August 3 this year he assaulted a police officer and on the same date obstructed an officer.

The case was adjourned until September 10 to allow him to get legal advice.

District Judge, Mr Paul Copeland, remanded Reid on his own bail of £500.
