A patient at Craigavon Hospital became aggressive with staff and kicked out a window.
James Russell (31), Ballygowan Park, Banbridge, admitted criminal damage to a window belonging to the Southern Health and Social Care Trust.
Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Friday that at 3pm on June 14 this year police went to the Bluestone Unit at the hospital after a patient became aggressive towards staff members and caused damage to a window.
Russell said to police: “I done it. Arrest me.”
The defendant had kicked the window out and staff phoned 999.
Russell was on court bail at the time and a condition was that he should not consume alcohol.
There was a smell of alcohol on his breath.
The defendant appeared in court by way of videolink from Maghaberry prison.
Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said Russell had returned to the Bluestone unit on a voluntary basis and got involved in this incident.
He added that the defendant was going to live with his mother and father in Banbridge.
