A motorist whose licence had expired a number of years ago was given a nine month driving ban at Banbridge Magistrates Court.
Brian Thornton (52), Caugheys Road, Dromore, was also fined £100 for driving without insurance on July 12 this year. As well he was fined £150 for not having a driving licence and ordered to pay a £15 offenders levy.
The court heard that offences came to light when he was stopped while driving a pick up truck on the Hillsborough Road, Dromore.
His licence had expired in October 2007.
Thornton, who represented himself in court, said the vehicle belonged to a mate.
District Judge, Mr Paul Copeland, said it looked like the defendant had been driving around without insurance for some time.
