A disorderly behaviour charge against a 21-year-old man was withdrawn last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates court when he agreed to be bound over.
Ryan Brown, Patrician Park, Newry, was bound over in the sum of £150 for 12 months to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The disorderly behaviour charge arose out of an incident outside the Belmont Hotel at 12.50am on January 1 this year.
Brown was shouting loudly and was told to leave but he returned and tried to start a fight. Brown, who was heavily intoxicated, was arrested for disorderly behaviour.
The charge was withdrawn when the defendant agreed to be bound over.
