‘Never held a licence but wants to get one’

A Dromore man was banned from driving for six months last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court.

William Tomlinson (18), Drumbroneth Road, Dromore, admitted driving without due care and attention on December 5 last year, not having insurance and not having a licence.

For each of these offences he was fined £100 and banned for six months.

He was also fined £50, banned for six months and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy for not having a vehicle test certificate.

The offences arose out of an incident at Barban Heights in Dromore.

Tomlinson’s solicitor said that his client had never held a licence but wanted to get one.
