Members of the Banbridge Trefoil Guild branch, alongside their guests from the Guild in Dublin were welcomed to Parliament Building’s at Stormont recently by Upper Bann MLA Jo-Anne Dobson.
Commenting after the visit by the local branch of the Trefoil Guild, Mrs Dobson said: “Members of the Trefoil Guild help to promote the local guiding community.
“It was an honour for me to host Trefoil Guild members from Banbridge, but also their guests from the Guild in the Dublin.
“It was great to accompany Guild members on their tour of Parliament Buildings which showcased the Assembly and Senate Chambers and the Great Hall.
“I know for many it was their first time at Stormont, while for others it was a return visit and I am glad that it formed part of what was a very busy and interesting day for them all.”
Mrs Dobson added:“Our thoughts were with two long-standing Banbridge members who for different reasons were not able to join us – they remain in my thoughts and prayers.
“As an MLA it is always a privilege to be able to host local people on a visit to Stormont as it is useful for everyone to learn about the work of the devolved Assembly in Northern Ireland.”
