DROMORE'S FESTIVE SEASON GETS INTO FULL SWING

THE festive season gets into full swing this week in Dromore with a number of special events planned.

The 'Autumn Leaves' group will be in the Square this Thursday night from 7.30pm for carol singing. Santa will be there to give out goodies and accompaniment will be provided by the CRAK group. Free on the night will be mulled wine and shortbread etc.

On Saturday, 20th the Ranch will be the place to be for a special Christmas breakfast from 9am onwards.

Local people will be able to eat as much as they like for 4 with all money raised going to the Southern Area Hospice.

Aladdin's Cave will be open as well for those all important last minute Christmas gifts and there will be an opportunity to purchase a candle of remembrance and reflection

On Sunday, 21st at 8pm a Festival of Carols will be held in the Ranch with local clergymen taking part. The candles of remembrance and reflection will be lit during the event.

Soloists will be Sandra Shields, Billy Savage, Gerry McBrien, Zoe Skillen and Sophie Tate and there will also be renditions by Trevor Dickson and Ann Moore.

There will be free tea, coffee, mince pies and shortbread etc. Again all proceeds go to the Hospice.
