DUP Cllr and Assembly candidate for Upper Bann Carla Lockhart has been working on getting areas cleaned up following her canvass in the Banbridge.

Speaking on the issue she said: “Statutory authorities such as the NI Housing Executive and Roads Service need to take responsibility for areas of land and pavements within housing developments and estates.

“Out on the election campaign trail I have been inundated with complaints from Mountview and Moorefield in Banbridge concerning unkempt and unclean areas.

“I have organised an urgent clean up and will be working to ensure that these areas are on a regular maintenance routine from now on.

“Unfortunately some areas have been left behind,” she continued.

“ I will not allow this to continue I will be fighting hard for the Banbridge area to receive the assistance it requires I will be updating residents regarding dates and times of clean up.”
