Dromore girls impress at Banbridge tournament

A sun soaked Saturday saw Dromore Juniors head off to Havelock Park to the Banbridge tournament and a funpacked day of hockey.

The P4A team got through to the knock out stages as did both P5 teams.

Primary 7 had a mixed fortune of results so did not procedd to knockout.

However, the P4 finished a pleasing third and the P45 A finished second and then had their medals presented by Irish player Steven Dowds.

Well done to all the girls and parents for supporting and thanks to all the coaches and umpires and Banbridge Hockey club.

The Under 13s headed to Queens Pavilion on Sunday with two teams to be joined by hosts Pegasus, Portadown, Saintfield, Ballynahinch and Banbridge.

The B team played well and the As had a strong performance winning their games and going through to the cup. Final result was third with Banbridge going on to win Thanks to Pegasus and coach Julie for a great tournament.
