Dromore lads Adam and Josh Jennings have been selected to play for the Mid Ulster Team at the Foyle Cup.

Both lads have played for Dromore since 2009 and now play for the U13s team. The competition was tough for the 18 squad places, with the final cut being made last week. The players were chosen from the 13 teams in the Mid Ulster League.

The Foyle Cup is a youth football tournament and is run at the same time as the Milk Cup. It is one of Europe’s top football tournaments featuring teams coming from England, Scotland, Ireland, Europe and even America.

Adam has been selected as left midfielder, whilst Josh is the only goalkeeper in the squad.

They are both excited not only to chosen, but to be able to represent Dromore in the Mid Ulster team.

Both players went to many trials before they were finally selected. The tournament starts on Monday 20 July and runs until Saturday 25 July.

The NI Tourist Board have announced they are going to plough £20,000 into the event.

This will be a unique experience for the boys who will travel with the Mid Ulster squad, to friendly matches and to the event itself. All u13 team mates, team parents, committee and the coaches, John and Dave are really proud of the lads and wish them all the best.
