Dromore Amateurs Seconds travelled to Belfast on Saturday to play bottom of the table Rooftop, expecting an easy three points but had to fight all the way to win 2-1.

On 15 minutes, McDonald gave away a penalty for Dromore but luckily Ward in the Dromore goal made the save from the spot kick. On 30 minutes, Lockart scored with a header after a long Smylie throw. Five minutes later it was one each, this time a long throw from Rooftop was bundled in.

The second half was much more physical with both teams putting in some bruising challenges but Dromore were settling better on the ball with McGuigan and Gibson doing well in midfield. Hunt, Mulholland and Rowan all missed sitters before Bob Gibson scored a brilliant goal, controlling a long ball on his chest he then hitting a volley from 40 yards that went into the top corner for 2-1 Dromore. On 80 minutes, Rooftop hit the bar but Dromore held on to get the points.

DROMORE: Ward, McCutcheon, Hill, Hodgen, McDonald, Hunt, McGuigan, Smylie, Rowan, Mulholland, Lockart. Subs: Gibson, McCartan, Lavery.
