Dromore U15s continued their winning form with a 3-1 win over North Belfast on Saturday.
It was late in the first half that Michael McCavitt opened the scoring after a deft touch to control the ball. He swivelled and lobbed the ball over the North Belfast keeper’s head. Moments later the U15s conceded a penalty.
Callum Walker stood tall in goal and made a great save to deny North Belfast the equaliser. Odhran Crozier scored the second Dromore goal after a long kick from Callum Walker was controlled by Henry Thomas who played in the young Dromore forward and he dispatched the ball into the net.
North Belfast rallied themselves in search of a goal and to their credit scored a great goal to make the score-line 2-1.
Both teams were working hard all over the pitch and the next goal was going to be crucial to the final outcome.
Just as North Belfast had the U15s defence under the cosh in search of the equaliser, a quick counter attack saw Odhran Crozier dribble down the right wing and he played a perfect ball to the back post where Michael McCavitt timed his jump well and met the ball with a good header to find the back of the net to ensure the U15s would go home with another three points.
The whole team deserve immense credit as they rolled their sleeves up when the going got tough and stood firm and as per previous games. This team has goals in them.
