Dromore Seconds smashed six past a struggling Newtownabbey team on Saturday to seal a 6-1 win.

From the whistle, Dromore controlled possession, playing some super football with Mulholland, Hunt and Cunningham having some good chances.

On 15 minutes, Dromore got their first when Cunningham crossed for Hunt to tap in from two yards.

On 20 minutes, it was 2-0 after Smylie played in Mulholland who finished well from inside the box. Dromore were now dominating the game with Smylie, Smith and Beattie winning everything in midfield and it was Smylie who got the third with a 25 yard screamer straight into the top corner.

N’abbey got a lifeline but Dromore rushed upfield and made it 4-1 with Hunt beating three men and shooting into the corner.

The second half was much the same, Dromore on top and their backline of Herron, Ward, McGuigan, McDonald and Thompson dealing easily with any N’abbey attacks.

Mulholland got the fifth with another good shot inside the box.

Hunt made himself the man of the match when he completed his hat-trick with Dromore’s sixth.

He was then dismissed for a second yellow but it didn’t take away from Dromore’s great victory.
