Here we have another new name to add to the list of Sunday Sweep winners this year.

It’s that of BJ McAnarney and, from all reports, he is a player with loads of talent and destined for great things.

The twos pot was divided equally between Alan Dale and Dominic NcArdle.

1st- BJ McAnarney (19) Nett 30.5

2nd- John Crothers (14) Nett 32

3rd- Danny O’Boyle (15) Nett 32

Colin Kennedy played the 14 holes of the Thursday Sweep in only three over par gross. That is no mean achievement.

Colin was delighted but Sam Wilkinson was ecstatic. Sam notched up the only two on the day and he was richly rewarded.

1st- Colin Kennedy (12) 34 pts

2nd- Fergie Cosgrove (12) 33 pts

3rd- Dennis Lockhart (14) 31 pts

The conditions were close to perfect last Saturday for all the local golfers. The only danger was losing a ball in among the fallen leaves.

Joe McConville steered a careful path around the 14 holes and won the competition with 37 points. On a day of high scoring, Joe had only one point to spare on Gary McCartney and Shane Crossan.
