Morgan and Brooke net as U15s win in a packed week for the Juniors

Dromore Juniors had a fully packed schedule of hockey this weekend in what was possibly one of their busiest weekends of the season.

Friday saw the P3/4/5 play away to local club Ballynahinch and they were followed by two Under 13 teams.

Ballynahinch provided a great night of hockey for the girls. The Under 15 Performance squad were playing away to Lurgan in the quarter final of the cup and despite strong play by Dromore lurgan took the match 2-1.

Saturday saw the P4/5 away again this time to Banbridge while the P6/7 hosted Lurgan at home.

Sunday took the Under 15 development squad to Finals Day at Lisnagarvey.

Their first match was against South Antrim A who were fast off the ball and won 3 - 0. The girls then held the Ulster Elks to a scoreless draw.Another scoreless draw against Owls followed despite an excellent performance by Dromore .

The final match had a strong start with Alex Shields putting Dromore 1 -0 in the lead against Ards who finally came through 2 - 1.

In the afternoon Dromore hosted Lisnagarvey year 8 with the girls in three teams for another full afternoon of hockey.

The weekend was rounded off by the Under 15 in a league match against Pegasus. Dromore won 2 -1 with goals by Morgan Hennessey and Brooke Shaw.
