The Club had a dozen members taking part in one of the toughest Cycling Sportives in the Country at the Dromara Hilly Sportive.
Riders had a choice of 85km or 125km routes, both of which took in some of the most challenging hills and mountain stages from the Infamous Cornmill, Dree Hill, Windy Gap through to Spelga dam and back to Dromara.
It was a hard day for all but everyone managed to get around the routes and back home for some well deserved refreshments at Dromara FC.
The club sent thanks to all the organisers & marshals at Dromara CC
The Club also wants to congratulate the two members who took part in the Ironman 70.3 in Dublin this weekend, Sam Cordner & Stuart Martin.
They completed the triathlon which consisted of 1.2m swim, 50m cycle & a half marathon in fantastic times, with all their hard training paying off.
Further congratulations from the Club to another member Terry Mackin, who took part in the Irish Champions Track cycling last weekend.
Cycling with the Black Rose Team, he won Gold in the Team Sprint (with a National Record achieved also) and also a Gold in the Team Pursuit Quartet, a brilliant result from the Dromore man.
The club would also like to congratulate their friend Shenna McKiverigan who achieved some fantastic results in the Irish Junior Championships with three golds in the scratch, 500m & sprint plus a silver in the pursuit.
