The lastest sweep results from Banbridge Golf Club are in and there were some good perfromances to claims the prizes.
Sunday 22 November
This was Pearse McAvoy’s first competitive round for well over a year and he almost won the competition. He lost out on countback to the experienced Kieran McGreevey.
The sizeable 2’s pot was divided equally between Alex Clarke and Kenny Baines.
1st- Kieran McGreevey (24) Nett 30.
2nd- Pearse McAvoy (16) Nett 30.
3rd- Alex Clarke (13) Nett 31.5.
Thursday 26 November
This was Felix Duffy’s third win in the sweep competitions this year.
This one was played over eleven holes and that suited Felix perfectly.
1st- Felix Duffy (21) 27 pts.
2nd- Patrick McAleenan (23) 26 pts.
Saturday 28 November
The weather was foul and only 11 holes were open on Saturday.
Those two factors contributed to the rather low turnout of players.
The experienced Gerry Blevins went round in only 3 over par gross and that gave him a winning score of 30 points. A strong finish meant that Gerry beat Kenny Jones on countback.

Bill McCandless was the star of round three.

1st- Michael Robinson (team 3) 33 points.
2nd- Mel Hamill (team 7) 32 points.

1st- Johnny McKinstry (team 1) 34 points.
2nd- Brian Knox (team 1) 34 points.
