It’s all systems go for Lee Matthews and his band as they prepare for what promises to be a Halloween Dancing Spectacular at the Bannville House Hotel, Banbridge on Friday night.
A new double ‘A’ side single release on download now paves the way for the much-anticipated new album from this rising country star.
With two number one hits ‘Cotton Eye Joe’ and ‘It’s A Great Day To Be Alive’ already on his forthcoming album, the two new singles ‘Buy Me A Boat’ and ‘Girl Next Door’ have already hit the top of the Irish Country Charts as well.
After the success of his double award-winning smash hit ‘Cotton Eye Joe’ the singer said: “We had three new songs to release from my forthcoming album and we ended up swopping them round several times because they were all massive songs.
“However, my producer Jonathan Owens was so excited about the track which is a big sing-a-long feel good anthem so we decided to release it first.”
Lee has plenty of reason to celebrate this year. Not only did this talented singer-songwriter scoop the award for Best New Band at the start of 2015 at the prestigious Sunday World Country Music Awards in Dublin but he also landed two separate Song of the Year awards for his re-write of the number one smash hit “Cotton Eye Joe.”
Along with his band, Lee has been making huge inroads into the thriving Irish country dancing sector.
He has been attracting big crowds everywhere he plays and it’s expected that on Friday night his fans will flock to the Bannville House Hotel for what promises to be a gala occasion.
Lee’s band includes some of the most experienced musicians in the province with a high-quality production.
Doors at the Bannville will open at 9.15pm and there is a dine and dance deal on offer details can be obtained by telephoning the hotel at 028-40628884.
