A transport company was fined £250 with a £15 offender’s levy at Dungannon Magistrates Court last Wednesday for a tachograph offence.

Smyth Poultry & Transport of Rellan, Roslea, Fermanagh, admitted failing to comply with EC regulations relating to downloading relevant data from the tachograph as required by the regulations.

The court heard the offence came to light when DVA inspectors stopped a lorry at Aughnacloy on August 17 last and found the company had missed the download deadline by 145 days.
