Man arrested in Tyrone after cross border operation turned up gun and smuggled fuel
The sting, which involved the PSNI, DARD, Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine and An Garda Síochána, saw a number of properties in counties Tyrone and Monaghan searched on Monday [November 16].
A quantity of suspected smuggled diesel was also uncovered and it is understood that documentation and other items were seized by DARD.

Hide AdInspector Keith Jamieson said: “The operation, which took place on Monday in the South Tyrone area, was co-ordinated with colleagues from An Garda Síochána, Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine, DARD and HMRC.
“One man was arrested for possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances and has been released pending report.”
