Basement battle ends in a draw
With both teams threatened with relegation, the emphasis was on not losing, so scoring opportunities were at a premium in Saturday afternoon’s clash.
Jenny Wallace, Rosemary Dundee and Penny Purdy all stood out in the Parkview defence, while Clare McClean and Toni Smallwood counter-attacked down the left flank without success.

Parkview did manage to force one penalty corner from which Nikki Turkington had a shot blocked on the line, so at the break the scorecard remained blank.
Enniskillen threatened more in the second session forcing Sharon Gaffney to make three diving saves, including one from the hosts’ only penalty corner of the game.
Jenny Morrison, Turkington and Caroline Coulter had one good move down the left side, but once again the defence prevailed when the ball reached the circle.
Overall a draw was a fair result.
