Coffee morning boosts Lurgan Lights project
The event raised £475 which will go towards ‘Lurgan Lights’, a three-year project which aims to provide solar lights for girls living in rural Zambia.
The 19 lights which will be purchased from funds raised from the event, will change the lives of 19 girls.

Jillian is paticulary eager to help girls and young women in rural Zambia when she heard of the long distances they have to travel to school each day.
Having already endured the long treks home after lessons, many young girls are unable to do their homework as they dont have access to electricity for light.
This image of young girls not being able to read books struck a chord with Jillian and was the catalyst behind the founding of ‘Lurgan Lights’.
Thanks to the project the lives of many young girls in Zambia have been improved.
