Snow and ice warning for this weekend
The Met Office have issued a wetaher warning for Counties Londonderry and Antrim for Friday and Saturday.
Yesterday, the Met Office also issued a heavy rain and strong wind warning for most of Northern Ireland over the next few days.

Hide AdThe warning states: “The heaviest snow showers are most likely to the north of the Central Belt of Scotland. Here, away from the immediate coast, around 5-10cm of snow could accumulate through Friday night and Saturday morning. Elsewhere, snow accumulations will be more localised, around 1-3 cm is possible and primarily above 200 metres.
“Road surface temperatures are expected to fall below freezing overnight into Saturday morning, leading to a risk of icy patches forming.
“A cold front will clear to the southeast during Friday afternoon, introducing a much colder airmass for Friday night and most of Saturday. Showers will turn increasingly heavy and frequent during Friday evening.”
