Hide AdMcCann was stopped at Huntly and police officers noted how his eyes were glazed, his speech slurred and he smelled of alcohol.
He failed a preliminary breath test and was conveyed to the custody suite where an evidential reading revealed 83mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of breath.
Barrister Mr O’Hare said his client had no penalty points or convictions, however, there was a second offence pending.
He said McCann had been out at the Coach with friends and hadn’t anticipated driving home.
He said McCann couldn’t get a taxi and “took the foolish decision to drive.”
Mccann was given 10 weeks to pay the fine as well as an offender’s levy of £15.
